Terminology
Triple Scented generally refers to the three levels of fragrance notes of a scent, the top, middle and base note. All our products have these three levels of aroma.
Fragrance Load relates to the percentage of fragrance in the candle. Wax can only hold a certain amount of fragrance before it starts seeping out and becoming a fire hazard. I test to ensure that the percentage is correct for the fragrance.
Frosting is is a term that is used when white spots forms on the surface of natural waxes such as soy. Frosting is one indication that you are using 100% natural wax . It will not at all affect how your candle performs.
Mushrooming refers to the top of the wick where it can look like a mushroom when burnt. Trimming takes care of this and it doesnt affect the burn. All candles should be trimmed to the correct length before burning.
Wax Discolouration can occur over time, especially if there is a high content of vanilla in the scent. UV light can also affect the wax. High quality natural waxes such as the wax we use can show some these characteristics but they do not affect the burn.
In Australia there are not any mandatory labeling laws for candles so ask questions of the maker to determine exactly what materials they use.
